Last month, ITPS Canada (The International Test Pilots School) graduates were trained and tested in Canada.

ITPS activities focused on training pilots and engineers in the skills required to test new or modified airplanes and helicopters. The course and tests focused on:

• gyroplane flight tests
• gradual building of critical conditions and overloads
• a thorough risk assessment

Before the tests, the students underwent extensive pilot training in flight tests and theory from the applicable military and civil airworthiness regulations.

ITPS Canada is an accredited test pilot school by the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP) and the Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE).
